Elliot Park is one of the most seasoned neighborhood networks in Minneapolis. It started in the 1850’s as one of the settlements that rose around the Falls of St. Anthony on the Mississippi River. Its closeness to the ventures that were developed around the Falls made it well known for Swedish foreigners who were attracted to this territory. Areas of Elliot Park along eighth Street were platted for the working of houses, stores, and holy places as ahead of schedule as 1856, just four years after the establishing of Minneapolis.
